About the position
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr Generative AI Strategist to join our Generative AI Innovation Center in Denver, Colorado. This role is designed for business-oriented technologists who possess a unique blend of business acumen, effective interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of advanced technologies such as analytics, big data, machine learning, and generative artificial intelligence. The primary focus of this position is to support customers in enhancing their business and operational outcomes through the application of these advanced technologies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers, AWS Sales, AWS service teams, AWS industry teams, and AWS Professional Services delivery teams to develop industry-specific programs that cater to customer needs. You will leverage a programmatic approach to help customers drive their business metrics across various industry-specific requirements. As a trusted advocate for our customers, the Generative AI Strategist will assess and deliver best practices related to program delivery, project methodologies, and business measurement. A critical aspect of this role is the ability to connect business value to a scalable, repeatable, and extensible approach. Key responsibilities include aligning customer technologists with business leaders to explore the potential of generative AI and machine learning, developing roadmaps to deliver business value effectively, and engaging with various AWS teams, including applied scientists, solutions architects, and industry specialists. You will also drive large, complex sales opportunities from ideation through vision building, scoping, and into delivery. Conducting workshop sessions to identify opportunities for customers to leverage generative AI or machine learning will be a significant part of your role.
Responsibilities
- Align customer technologists with business leads to explore generative AI and machine learning opportunities.
- Discuss complex industry-specific business concepts with executives and line managers.
- Engage with AWS teams including applied scientists, solutions architects, and business development.
- Drive large, complex sales opportunities from ideation to delivery.
- Conduct workshop sessions to identify opportunities for delivering business value through generative AI or machine learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the industry as a machine learning practitioner or executive.
- Experience participating in the sales lifecycle (directly or indirectly).
- Experience in management consulting or related work.
- Experience launching technically complex programs or projects involving big data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

- Participation in product management and marketing lifecycles.
- Experience presenting to audiences of various levels and backgrounds.
- Passion for educating and building solutions for diverse customers.
