About the position
The Loss Prevention Site Lead (LPSL) is a leadership role within the Amazon Loss Prevention Team, responsible for providing security services and asset protection in a designated area. This position emphasizes continuous improvement, data analysis, and collaboration with internal partners to enhance security measures and mitigate losses. The LPSL is expected to foster an inclusive environment, lead investigations, and inspire performance excellence among team members and third-party vendors.
Responsibilities
- Enhance, track, and report on key performance indicators to achieve desired outcomes.
- Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancement and increase efficiency.
- Engage, coach, train, and influence business partners on Loss Prevention best practices.
- Assist with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud, conducting interviews as necessary.
- Identify inventory defects and create strategic plans to mitigate losses using data analysis.
- Inspire performance excellence among security services team members and third-party vendors.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for security best practices and processes.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing candidates for the security services organization.
- Plan, implement, execute, and manage incident response strategies.
- Address loss mitigation and physical security considerations, including workplace violence incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of relevant professional or military experience.
- 2+ years of experience in law enforcement, loss prevention, risk management, or related fields.
- 2+ years of data collection experience with root cause analysis.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- 1+ years of experience with MS Office Professional Suite, particularly Excel.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma concepts and certification such as PMP.
- Experience with databases like SQL, MYSQL, or Access for querying and analyzing data.
- Familiarity with security equipment such as intrusion detection devices and access control systems.
- Experience in logistics, warehouse, distribution center, or multi-site loss management.
- Interviewing and interrogation experience, including certifications like LPQ, CPP, LPC, CFI.
- Workplace Violence and/or Business Continuity experience.
