Full Job Description

LUMBER & HARDWARE COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR A WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE / FORKLIFT OPERATOR.

Job Type: Full Time

Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Saturdays *as needed* 8 AM to 12 PM

Requirements:

-Bilingual English & Spanish preferred.

-Responsible person and a great team player.

-Able to load and handle materials.

-At least 1 year forklift experience.

-Organize and prepare orders for deliveries.

Duties:

· Assists customers with dispatch of materials. Reads customer orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

· Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Marks materials with identifying information. Opens bales, crates, and other containers.

· Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items. Maintains inventory records.

· Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

· Drives forklift.

· Maintains clean environment.

Language:

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds using proper equipment provide by company.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

-Able to be bend, lift and move up to 50 pounds.

-Organized person with strong attention to detail.

-Customer Service experience greatly appreciated.
