E2E SR. Scheduling PM Id-2725

Within CO+I, the Core Operations & Functions Team manages the delivery of datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s Cloud Business across the globe. We have a portfolio of complex projects that require oversight from End-to-End. The E2E Sr. Scheduling PM will be the Team’s specialist for schedule management via our database. They will be a vital connection and orchestration point to ensure we have a fully integrated schedule across all of our segments in support of overall data center delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution of planning and development of the integrated master schedule, in support of major projects and programs across the portfolio.
  • Oversee and manage portfolio and program level schedules, building detailed schedules from inception to completion.
  • Develop schedule mitigation strategies, reporting on schedule issues and critical tasks to management, analyzing schedule sensitivity and risk, alerting on issues and recommending solutions for schedule issues and high-risk areas.
  • Coordinate with all segments and functional organizations to ensure the execution system is in alignment with the organizational processes and goals through the tactical management of the integrated master schedule.
  • Establish and maintain standard detailed project delivery schedule templates with key milestones identified.
  • Through coordination with other segments, monitor, analyze, and provide direction on the general health, risks, and progress of the schedule.
  • Advise management of the status of work in progress, critical need by and delivery dates, and potential delays to committed dates.
  • You should enjoy working under pressure and deadlines, with the ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty, while driving clarity.
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries to build alignment and drive closure on issues and result.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proficient user of Oracle P6 with at least 4 years of experience in the tool
  • Proven success in a lead role leading managing schedule development/management on a portfolio of medium to large scale projects
  • Experienced with schedule analysis and CPM methodology

Background Check Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
