Amazon Warehouse Worker - Flexible Shifts ID-5128

As an Amazon Delivery Station Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of the dedicated Amazon team at the delivery station, which serves as the last stop before we deliver smiles to our customers. This fast-paced and active role involves receiving trucks full of orders and preparing them for delivery. Your responsibilities will include loading conveyor belts, transporting, and staging deliveries to be picked up by drivers. You will be working in a dynamic environment where efficiency and teamwork are key to ensuring that orders are processed and delivered on time. In this role, you will be expected to receive and prepare inventory for delivery, utilizing technology such as smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders. You will also be responsible for building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages. Physical demands of the job include lifting up to 49 pounds, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts. You will need to be comfortable using carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around, as well as going up and down stairs and working at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine when applicable. The work environment at an Amazon Delivery Station is characterized by moving machines, including order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. You may be required to stand in one place for long periods, walk around, or climb stairs. Temperature conditions can vary between 60°F and 90°F in some parts of the warehouse, and on hot days, temperatures can exceed 90°F in the truck yard or inside trailers. The noise level can be high at times, and hearing protection is provided if needed. The dress code is relaxed, but safety rules must be followed, including wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes and protective safety footwear in select business units. Amazon provides a $110 Zappos gift code towards the purchase of shoes to ensure you are prepared for your first day on the job.
