What you will be doing:
As part of the maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of state highways and airports within the district. Your tasks will include operating and maintaining both heavy and light-duty equipment, as well as performing essential maintenance on infrastructure such as road surfaces, bridges, culverts, signs, barricades, fences, and vegetation. You will also handle traffic control duties, including flagging, to ensure safety on the job.

In addition, you will be involved in snow and ice removal from highways, bridges, and city streets using plow trucks and loaders, as well as sanding roads with sand trucks during winter operations. You’ll rely on radio communication to receive work assignments, coordinate tasks, and ensure that all duties are completed efficiently and safely.
