The Integrated Communications Team connects the voices of EA’s 500+ million players to our global game and strategy teams, facilitating healthy conversation working together to build thriving communities.

As the Community Associate, North American Footbal for EA SPORTS, you will help with the direct-to-player communications within the North American Football business, building connections with the community through two-way communication and a multi-channel strategy that informs players and sparks mass interest in the consistent updates. You are exceptional in writing, editing and clearly explaining communication; prior copywriting experience is a must.

As part of this role, you will develop communications materials for internal and external franchise channels with oversight of the Community Team leaders, partner with creative and core teams to manage game assets, and develop messaging aligned with our brand voice.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver Community reports on channel metrics, player feedback, game issues, or service risks.
  • Work with the Community Manager to lead the direct-to-player multi-channel communications strategy.
  • Inform the community and maintain a tight two-way dialogue between influencers, studio, and stakeholders.
  • Drive studio communication platforms delivering communication with players
  • Create a weekly branded content series that is a transparent source of information to the community
  • Help with communications around game and gaming issues: Bugs, Cheats, Outages, Support Issues.
  • Conduct surveys, research, and feedback from the community on issues affecting the experience.
  • Work with Customer Support and the Development teams to improve player experience.
  • Help with the moderation of official channels such as the forums, social media, and/or websites.
  • Maintain a positive community reputation.
  • Ensure all Electronic Arts standards, policies, and processes are observed and followed.

Qualifications

  • Passion for video games and experience playing Madden NFL and other sports games.
  • Deep understanding of real-world sport, players, teams, leagues, etc.
  • Three years’ experience working in online community, social media, journalism, online marketing, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in writing, grammar, editing and publishing written content.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Conscientious and a team player.
  • Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Motivated to learn new things about players and motivated to improve their experience.
  • Objectively interpret customer/community feedback and make recommendations.
  • Understanding of game Operations, Development, and Licensors is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, User Research, Marketing or Game Development is a plus.
