An exciting opportunity has arisen on the
Harefield site
for an experienced and innovative nurse to join our Arrhythmia team, working 33.5 hours per week. A degree of flexibility with the hours/days worked will be required to ensure the service is maintained.
The successful candidate will need to be highly self-motivated, demonstrate advanced management, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and be able to work autonomously as well as within the Arrhythmia team. We provide a full in-house training programme and study leave to help you develop your potential. Qualification in clinical assessment and as a non-medical prescriber would be advantageous but training can be given. We would consider ambitious band 6 nurses in a training post who could work towards a band 7.

Main duties of the job
This clinical role will enable you to develop your skills in a variety of aspects of cardiology nursing, including pre-admission clinics for elective procedures, outpatient management of patients, management of other nurse-led clinics and attendance at multidisciplinary team meetings.
There will also be an expectation for you to review inpatients post procedure on the cardiology wards and work closely with the arrhythmia consultants to develop and further your knowledge.
Job responsibilities
To be a highly specialised nurse working with a specified group of cardiology patients and taking responsibility for their ongoing clinical management. In collaboration with the Consultants, manage the continuing care of patients who are under the care of the arrhythmia service. To deliver a high standard of care to cardiology patients.
The role involves collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, ward teams, imaging teams, other CNSs and the outpatient team.
