Job Description:

As a Carrier Procurement Representative, you will play a crucial role in securing and managing carrier relationships across multiple freight modes. You will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and onboarding carriers to meet the transportation needs of our clients. Your focus will be on building strong, long-term partnerships with carriers, and ensuring cost-effective and efficient service delivery. This position requires a proactive approach, with the ability to meet and exceed procurement goals while working collaboratively with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new carrier relationships across various freight modes
  • Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
  • Onboard and manage carriers to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and timely performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, and customer service) to align carrier capacity with client needs.
  • Monitor carrier performance, resolve issues, and optimize carrier selection to ensure high-quality service.
  • Meet and exceed monthly procurement targets, focusing on cost savings, carrier diversification, and service improvement.
  • Maintain and grow a strong network of carrier partners to support business growth and scalability.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and new opportunities to improve procurement strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in carrier procurement and freight brokerage
