Responsibilities/Job Duties/Job Description/Qualifications:

  • Responsible for handling all server requests that come in from the newly built/migrated data centers.
  • Our client currently has an automated server process in place, but it is not 100% built out yet so they are looking for this person to go through the checklist and go through the map drives to make sure everything is working properly.
  • Responsible for deploying and configuring all on-prem physical and virtual servers.
  • Responsible for handling application requests that come in result of the migration of some of the data centers, and figuring out which applications cannot be migrated and need to be built and handling those requests.
  • Responsible for verifying automation worked and all agents are loaded.
  • Run Puppet script to mount drives and install agents.
  • Responsible for performing final checklist and troubleshooting any agents or build failures.
  • Most of the server requests that come in will be primarily Windows Servers, and some Linux Servers.
  • Use ServiceNow to handle the ticketing requests and provide documentation on the ticket once it has been resolved.



Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience deploying and configuring on-prem physical and virtual servers is REQUIRED.
  • Experience working with both Windows and Linux servers.
  • Scripting and Automation experience required (Puppet/Batch/PowerShell/VB)
  • Knowledge of Server builds/day to day Service requests
  • Experience working with ServiceNow is highly preferred.
