Description

The Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) team's charter is to protect Amazon customers from products that are illegal, illegally marketed, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Amazon policies. RISC Risk Manager will be a part of the Business and Legal Support (BLS) team which provides strategic support for high-priority requests from legal partners, regulators, law enforcement, and business. In this role the PM will drive short-term solutions for immediate issues, and find long-term solutions to address the root cause. They will bring together legal, technical, and business stakeholders to help drive engagements with key regulators and business partners.

About The Team

RISC - Business and Legal Support (BLS) provides strategic support for high-priority requests from legal partners, regulators, law enforcement, and business. BLS drives short-term solutions for immediate issues, and finds long-term solutions to address the root cause.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience handling confidential information
  • Previous experience leading compliance programs and/or time-sensitive regulatory engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to source and analyze data to drive business reporting
  • Experience delivering initiatives from conception through completion
  • Experience leading process management and process improvement initiatives
  • Proven ability to define strategies in order to solve ambiguous problems
  • Experience preparing reports identifying findings and providing recommended remediation strategies and solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
  • Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
  • Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly communicate complex and technical subject matter to a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience setting direction and delivering detail-oriented results in environments with frequently shifting priorities
  • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position
  • Experience with large scale e-commerce platforms including systems involving complex business logic
  • Experience in operations, investigations, risk management, incident or crisis management, or handling escalations
  • Experience working in law, compliance, regulatory or a related field
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams within a complex international organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
