Support, manage and develop publicity outreach for CNN US television programming. Manage day-to-day media relations, write press materials, and manage press interviews. Identify opportunities, create framework, and proactively pitch story ideas to targeted media in trade publications, newspapers, magazine, radio, and online media. Monitor and conduct media and social outreach.Service media requests and act as a source of information on behalf of CNN programming. Run projects including status reports, media monitoring, coordination of press materials, portfolio of speaking engagements. Schedule and cover press interviews and appearances. Develop a deep knowledge of industry and trends.
Job Qualifications
Proven track record for developing and implementing strategic and innovative publicity campaigns, pitching and placing stories
Understanding of news, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Self-starter, work independently and as a team; own projects from start to finish.
Minimum of 3-4 years publicity experience preferably with a media, entertainment, or communications organization.
