Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to pivot efficiently between strategic initiatives and tactical execution as business needs require
  • Ability to both work independently and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to finalize and implement logistics and transportation related goals
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple functional areas in a matrixed environment.
  • Must have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Intermediate PC skills and working knowledge of Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Demonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed to local offices, vendor facilities and customer sites.

 

Education and/or Experience

 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 7-10 years of leadership experience in Logistics/Supply Chain including both asset based and outsourced transportation
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing a team with multiple layers of management.
  • Demonstrated working experience using data and analytics to formulate countermeasures
  • Experience implementing countermeasures across multiple locations
