Contractor – Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Writer/Reviewer Id-2051

Summary

Springer Publishing Company is seeking experienced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) on a part-time, contract basis to write and review content for our certification exam preparation products. Writer/reviewers will work collaboratively with our Nursing Exam Preparation team to create new exam-style questions and to provide detailed, constructive feedback to help guide the work of other experts.

Qualified candidates will have active PMHNP certification, current clinical knowledge, excellent writing skills, a solid understanding of exam-style questions, and the ability to meet or beat schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Current PMHNP certification
  • Current or recent employment in a related clinical or academic setting
  • Personal access to current, reputable reference materials
  • Ability to distill complex topics to key points
  • Thorough understanding of the essential elements of a high-quality question (including remediation)
  • Experience in writing and reviewing exam-style questions preferred
  • Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and to accept and act upon the same
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate qualifications by submitting writing samples for pre-contract review
  • Ability to adhere to a strict schedule

Position Type

Part-time, contract

Time Commitment

Contractors will submit and/or review a fixed number of questions on a schedule determined for each project. Average time commitment of 8-10 hours per week for up to several weeks. Qualified candidates can begin work in less than 2 weeks.

Pay

Per item with the rate based on the type of work (e.g., writing versus review) and candidate experience
