The Recording Secretary to the Board is an employee of the Board of Directors and not a voting member of the Board. The Recording Secretary ensures meetings are effectively organized and minutes are recorded as per legal guidelines. The Recording Secretary will maintain effective records, upholding the legal requirements of governing documents.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Create monthly agenda as directed by the Board President
  2. Post agenda as per requirements of the Bylaws each month
  3. Take and transcribe minutes of meetings
  4. Prepare materials for meetings: Notices, resolutions, agenda, and related reports
  5. Handle personal or confidential information
  6. Have general working knowledge of Charter Schools
  7. Understand the roles of the Board and Administration of RMCA
  8. Provide official School Board records to state auditors and attorneys as needed
  9. Maintain online files and postings for all official School Board minutes and records
  10. Assist Board President with annual elections
  11. Maintain records of Directors’ contact information and terms
  12. Perform other duties as assigned
