Registered Nurse LDRP Birth Care Center PRN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Wesley Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in our LDRP Birth Care Center, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns.

About the Role

This is a PRN position, which means you will work on an as-needed basis, providing coverage for our labor and delivery department. You will be responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Direct and coordinate all nursing care for the department-specific patient population.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participation in quality of care activities to initiate, implement, and sustain process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the patient, significant others, and healthcare providers in providing and advocating for patient care.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • 1 year of RN experience.
