Based in the USA within the Global Sales Office, the Global Sales Manager is responsinle for developing, implementing, and evaluating a well-defined and focussed sales strategy and action plan in line with Mandarin Oriental marketing plans, objectives and targets as agreed with the Director Travel Industry, The Americas.

As Global Sales Manager, you will responsible for the following duties:

  • Key Account Management and Strategic Planning (70%):

  • Achieve and exceed sales revenue for target account list to include leisure FIT and specialty groups via client engagement, account qualification, prospecting initiatives, trade show participation, road show management and sales strategy development.

  • Assist in the development and execution of sales programs with travel partners and clients within territory aimed at increasing market awareness and achieving revenue targets.

  • Solicit business opportunities to drive incremental growth optimizing ADR and increased revenue performance. Knowledge of top advisors and key influencers while supporting and enhancing relationships with strategic MOHG partners.

  • Manages a portfolio of accounts in line with NAL – Named Account List. Evaluates, develops, and implements key account plans on a bi- annual basis.

  • Complete and manage individual BSC in line with Global Sales strategy and guidelines inclusive of annual account list review.

  • Attend industry tradeshow and conferences and play a leading role in MOHG hotel roadshows and client events.

  • Initiate and escort targeted client familiarization trips.

  • Develops and deliver compelling sales presentations to key decision-makers and stakeholders

  • Ability to understand, analyze and interpret data related to Hotelligence, STR, CRM and Power BI financial reports.

Sales and Business Development (20%):

  • Develop strong business relationships within territory by understanding account needs, addressing sales priorities and requirements driving engagement and bookings based on sales strategies, tools and systems

Sales Leadership and Development (10%):

  • Support hotel and regional sales team members to drive and maximize working relationships with key and prospect accounts to exceed annual targets

  • Ongoing development of self via MO Sales training and coaching by supervisor

  • Management of T & E in line with budget allocation

Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements.

As Global Sales Manager we expect from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Hotel Management, Business Administrations, Marketing.  

  • 5+ years’ experience working in hotels, travel trade or similar fast-paced industry.    

  • Proven track record on achievement vs. ambitious revenue and growth goals    

  • Expert in The Americas Travel Industry luxury segment with established relationships.

  • Interpersonal Savvy - relates well to all kinds of people up, down, laterally, inside and outside the organization; builds appropriate rapport, builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact. 

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. 

  • Strong experience building & maintaining agency and client relationships.     

  • Presentation skills at senior management
